The Glen of Imaal Terrier -
Dunc moving out

Showing Glens - the problems so far:-
As you might imagine, with such a newly established breed, in showing terms, it has been a long slog coming from AVNSC's to full CC Champ status, but there are now great opportunities to exhibit a breed at top level but with REAL scope.

This brings its own set of new problems however, problems that can be overcome with the support of owners of Glens and societies for Glens such as t' GOITA.

All the support the breed has now is still small in comparison to some of the breeds that are more popular common, and thus it just means we all have to work a little harder for a little longer, but the breed is definitely coming into its own and as highlighted above, opportunities are now opening for the breed, this can only be good news Hopefully the granting of full CC status will encourage exhibitors to take an interest in the breed, and with more people showing more dogs, the snowball effect will kick in and the breed will be taken off the vulnerable list, will soon become more popular than Jack Russels, and then Staffies before taking over the country as the most popular dog and being voted to run the country instead of the political parties, taking over the United Nations and bringing about world peace .. well, .. - maybe not quite that far.. but a Group Placing at Cruft's within 10 years would be wonderful. - - - Join us and give us your support to help bring the Glen to the world.
