GOITA currently have an annual show -
the show this year - in our Jubilee year - carries a full set CC ticket status for the first time.
This year we celebrate our silver jubilee and have been registered with the Kennel Club for
heading on 10 years.
In this time we have seen much happen to the breed regarding status, classification and even, more recently, physically with the introduction of docking regulations as applied by the Kennel Club in 2007.
The Association has campaigned for full CC status with the same 'never say die' attitude our dogs are so famous for, for the last ten years or so, and again just like our wee dogs, we stubbornly stuck to our task until we got the job done!! There is now full championship status conferred upon the Glen of Imaal Terrier as of Cruft's 2007, and tickets will be given out at no less than 8 Dog Shows this season.
